Free the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Ales Bialiatski!
The petition has been initiated by Libereco – Partnership for Human Rights and it demands the immediate release of the Belarusian human rights activist Ales Bialiatski who had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2022. To learn more about Ales, visit the website FreeAles launched by the Belarusian human rights organisation “Viasna”. On the website, you can read about Ales's life-long struggle for democratic values. The website raises awareness about political prisoners and calls for action by providing information on support possibilities. The site is available in Belarusian, Polish, German, English, and French.
In a statement on this occasion, the Arbeitskreis Bealrus (Working Group on Belarus in Germany) congratulates the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and draws attention to the dire circumstances of political prisoners in Belarus. Feel free to distribute the statement in your networks!

Exclude Belarus from Euro-2024!
The petition has been initiated by Libereco – Partnership for Human Rights and Campax and it demands from the UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin an immediate exclusion of Belarus from the 2024 European Football Championship. In reaction to the blatant violations of human rights by the Belarusian regime and Belarus's involvement in the Russian war against Ukraine, the signatories call on the President to set an example for the respect of human rights and demonstarte that he stands by political prisoners of Belarus and victims of the war in Ukraine.
